I meant to click to change where a prog's temp files go to, but instead i clicked on empty that folder button. I was trying to change it, as it was set to the desktop. In short, basically all my desktop files are gone.
Would not matter, but im (was) almost done collecting all the files for my move to win7. I had them all in a organized folder on my desktop. Installers, games, etc... Checked, they did not go to the recycle bin.
I DL'ed A Micron recovery tool, and it seems to have found all the files, but its just a demo(wont let me actual save the files) and they want 80 bucks for the prog...
If i don't get them fixed tonight, should i leave my computer run tonight? Looking through the files it found, it only found the files that were recently deleted, my thoughts is if i shut down/boot up too many times those files that i am trying to get back will be lost forever.
I was told to try a software recovery tool any, y'all recommend? Any other suggestions?
