| Re: Fat32 To NTFS How to convert a FAT16 volume or a FAT32 volume to an NTFS file system in Windows XP
A format is not necessary. Windows XP has tools which can change the File System without causing damage to your setup.

| FAT32 is a insecure file system. As well as having a file size limit of 4GB. So if you are going to download a file that is larger than that and you have the FAT32 File system the PC will give you errors.
This has nothing to do with Microsoft. This is a common error that everyone can make. Quote:

| Re: Fat32 To NTFS NTFS is a more secure file system, and you can transfer files over 4GB to NTFS (can't be done on Fat32). Those are just a few advantages.

| Re: Fat32 To NTFS Yes, you won't have to format. Just follow the link that Mak gave.
