Microsoft's first try at graphics design, Expression Design, just reached the Beta 2 stage. Few changes have been made since Beta 1, and it still keeps the simple, streamlined design that's been part of the product since its first versions.
Though it has a long way to go before it nears more recognised graphics design products such as Adobe Photoshop or Macromedia Fireworks, Expression Design still has its fair share of unique features, such as a unified interface that merges bitmap and vector tools as well as XAML integration.
