Establish a new intranet using Share Point Server 2003 ???

Hi!

We need to establish a new intranet for one of our customers using Share Point Server 2003.
We are looking for exemplary intranet sites where we can see what are the main areas that
are commonly covered by “todays” intranets to have an idea what is the typical content
in nowadays big intranets.

Our intranet website at work is not available to the public but I have a few suggestions:

-Organization Charts of the employees (CEO to CS)
-Human Resources information - ie. internal job postings, health insurance benefits, company policies re: confidentiality, promotions ...
-Client Services information - changes in deparment info, rules on how to properly service a customer, incentive programs and employee of the month...
- Marketing information-how much the company pulls in per week and which wholesalers have been rated most profitable...
-Information Technology- Infrastructure Org Chart, changes in equiptment, conversions and implementations, contact information, documentation...

... oh, a stock ticker and a social section is kind of a nice little twist that will entice people to read everyday.

This will get you jogging with more ideas.
