[Alias_Rules]

Hello, I have Windows XP Pro. Edition. I am having a problem. Everytime I start any of the following applications, they automatically shut down or a message saying the program had an "error and will shut down" and asking to send an error report appears.

THe programs this happens with are:
-Internet Explorer
-Yahoo Messenger
-AOL Instant Messenger (AIM)
-Windows Media Player
-Microsoft Word

Does anyone know what I can do? I really need your help. Thank you.

Do you have your virus definitions upto date? Have you run a full system scan? And if you have tried these things, have you tried system restore??

yeah try the virus scan and also run the system file checker ... if ur on the win9x based window open run and type "sfc" and press enter and if ur on xp or 2000 then in the run type "sfc /scanall" if that doesn do it reinstall your windows that will ultimately solve your problem..!!!
