Default Error when laptop is in hibernate

I use a laptop between work, home, and school. I bring the laptop with me just about anywhere I go. I've been noticing lately that when i close the laptop (putting it into hibernate mode), minutes later the laptop will wake itself up (even when it's closed) and give me this error:

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the API

Now the reason this is ****ing me off is because if I don't use my laptop for a while, and i leave it in my case, it will get extremely hot and run the battery down. I know this is not good at all for the hardware.

What is this error and why is it coming up? How can it be fixed? Thank you in advance
