I get this error message when I try to use an install file or some other files:

C:\windows\system32\config.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows Applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

are these 16 bit appications you are trying to run?

i had this problem a while back is this the same one you are having if so here is the fix.

ya, ive tried that, but i guess i didn't do it right, twice, so what should i do!!!

would you mind posting a screenshot of the error so i can see if that it the right fix or not. because that one worked when i got the 16 bit errors.

also run msconfig > WIN.INI tab make sure 16 bit apps is enabled aswell as in the SYSTEM.INI tab.

You can also attempt to convert NTFS to FAT32, but it requires a 3rd party program such as Partition Magic which has its' problems as well as seen here:

thank you very much, i tried your 1st suggestion, AGAIN, and i got it to work, i think it changed my file so it reads .nt.txt, so i got it changed, thank you very much
