hi guys, just a quick question. i have a video_ts folder containing .ifo, .bup, .vob files. how can i create an image from these files to use on my pc with alcohol 120 etc. i do not want to put them on disc as it is 2dvds long and im gonna delete em once watched so it will be a waste of disks. any help welcome.

i think dvd shrink will do this DVD Shrink v3.2.0.15 (freeware)

If you download VLC Player ( [url=http://www.videolan.org/vlc/]link[/url ) you won't even need to make an ISO. I use it to view the .VOB files without even making a CD.

Give that a try first, it may save some time. Plus, it's just an awesome video player.

well yeah dvd shrink will do it, Once its an image you can also use daemon tools to emulate it.

I heard a few people say this. how do you use dvd shrink to make an image?

ericB: you'd simply put the output of shrink to a file, not disk

poetry8: you don't need to make an image, just to view it on your PC
you could just open the main menu file in media player, vlc, powerDVD, etc...

hi guys thanks for your help. i dl vlc player but i found it to be quite basic and not very flashy. but either way it got the job done and i will be keeping it for future use. oh and just out of curiosity i decided to try opening the .vob file in windows media player like you recommended and it does work so anyone else looking for a way to play .vob just open the file in media player. well thanks guys.
