Default Drive defrag and System Restore

I was just talking to a friend on IM and he was asking me about drive defrag. After talking about it for a while, he asked me a question that left me dumbfounded, because I had never thought about it: Is it possible to perform a system restore after a drive defrag with the purpose of leaving it how it used to be (i.e. undefragged). I'm not sure if it is possible, but he wants to be sure that if something goes wrong with the defrag he'll be able to undo it. So can it be done?

Default Re: Drive defrag and System Restore

There shouldnt be any issue with the defrag. But from what i know. No. A system Restore is used to return to a previous state of operation. If you defrag the drive you can not go back to fragged drive with a system restore.
