Can anyone help me with this?
When I start the game two errors come up...

i forgot to say that i already downloaded and installed the latest directx (november) and clean booted, then installed and played but that error still comes up...

also, i am using windows xp professional v5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.080814-1236 : Service Pack 3)

Have you tried a reinstall of Fallout? That error for some reason is showing that it is trying to run DX. Maybe the installer is stuck in a install loop? Check your msconfig and see if the DX install is listed in there. Check the services as well to see if DX is listed.

Have you tried any other games to make sure it is just this one?

Yes, I have tried to reinstall Fallout with/without clean boots, and yes, this is the only game ive encountered this, i had installed DMC3, DMC4, Call of Duty 4, Warcraft 3 here, but no errors in the directx... i updated my directx without error messages and it said to me that "Installation successful"... All of the microsoft services are all turned on in my msconfig, in which im guessing the DirectX service is found...
