Creating a Restore Disc?

Well I bought my computer a few years ago but the thing is. I bought the shelf model. IT was the last one there so they gave me discount. Anyways they never gave me ANy disc. No windowsx xp or recovery disc or something. Now my computer is acting up and it just has problems. i Want to just start fresh and brand new. But i dont know what to do. Do i have to buy me a new windowx disc or what? Anyone have any suggestions. its a Emachine too. And if i do have a make a restore disc. can anyone tell me a good site that gives step by step instructions. I just need to fix this **** computer lol. Thanks 4 the help.

How to install xp without the xp cd.

Read thru that thread there. It will help you create a XP CD.

Did you check to see if there was a recovery disc creator option? Usually in Program Files under "PC Help" or something like that, and it has the word "recovery disc maker" or something similar in the title as well.

Mak's link will also work for what you're trying to do.
