Default converting media files to dvd format

I have a ton of shows that my DVR copied to my computer and some other media files and I am looking for a free program I can use to convert them to DVD format so I can burn them on a DVD. Thanks

I use a program that comes packaged with Nero called Vision. It will decode it, allow you to put menu's then burn on to a dvd that you can watch on a regular dvd player that plays burnt dvd's. I have even merged two avi's together (same movie) worked beautifully.

If my memory serves me correctly I am positive they support other formats.

Not sure how to tell what format they are in? They play in Windows media player or ATI file player.

Open My Computer. Click Tools>Folder Options>View. In the UNcheck the box for show file format of known extensions. Then tell us what format they are in.

One of the best websites i've seen:
VideoHelp.com - Forum, Guides, Tools and hardware lists

You'll find plenty of wonderful how-to's on anything video related. Book mark that sucka.
