Default Compress & Join a Video clip

Hi People,

I would be great if somebody could help me out with a particular problem that I have. I have a MPEG video clip which is roughly 1050MB in Size. The problem is that it is split up into 2 video clips that are roughly 525MB.

I would like to join both of the clips together and be able to compress them so that the total file would be able to fit onto 700mb cd. I would be grateful if somebody would be able to advise me on how to do this. It would be great if the programs that I would need to do this job were free-ware programs.

Thanks

TecK_N, i once tried a freeware utility callled MPEG Scissors but it was very limited in its features. It couldn't handle sizes over like 8 MB or so... can't remember the other details. I really wouldn't recommend it, you might however find some retail software or pay-for-software you can D/L off the internet.
