comp. works with win98 but not with windowsXp
pls help
i have a strange prob. with my comp. it works with Windows 98 quite well. but not with windows XP. even dose not boot up with windows Xp.
for Ref. computer Specs.
Pentium 4 1.7GHz
RAM 256 Mb
Graphics NVidea Geforce 64

How did u install XP?
On wich partitions/HD's?

the system folder is installed on drive C:\

Did you format when you installed on your hard drive? Or did you create another partition?

it was working with windowsXp before. but i dont kow wht went worng. few day back it stops working. so i tried with win98 n it works with 98

You might want to check to see if your hard drive is set for NTFS (for xp) instead of FAT32(for 98). You can do this in F-Disk I beleive.
