| Hello, I am about to graduate from college and I HAVE to do some community service before I graduate or else I will not get my degree. It's gotta be related to my major (System engineering). I am planning to setup a Linux server on their company so it would do automatic back ups every so often. It's a small network with 5 PCs or so and only 1!!! goes out to the Internet .They don't need any programming done so that I would not do so I was wondering if you guys know about any ideas or softwares that might be able to work on a small office to make their life easier?!! ![]() Thanks! |

| Look into AMANDA, The Advanced Maryland Automatic Network Disk Archiver and into Unix Backup & Recovery. O'Reilly - Safari Books Online - 1565926420 - Unix Backup and Recovery The book has open source programs that you can use, and AMANDA will help do multi-platform backup, (i.e. between windows, mac, linux, etc. ) edit -- didn't expect the URL to show the title. took out repeating of what amanda stands for.
