well, most of them are appliets that run from the run key in the registry.
Look here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Runonce

Look through those items and see what you find. anything you don't feel like using, just delete the key. But remember, always make a save first,ie, export the key your going to work in and save it somewhere incase you made a mistake.

Also, look in your startup folders.

MSCONFIG will get you to them, but doens't remove them. This way you can remove them.

Good luck.
