Default Can't open file

I've just received a file entitled 'oledata.mso'. My programme Word 2003 will not open it. I was once given a contact no. of someone who could re-format such things making them readable to me. Have lost that contact. Can anyone help. My friend doesn't know how she put the doc together but I think she was using desktop publishing 2007

You need to use Outlook 2000 or higher to see the inline Outlook HTML document which has the file you want attached. The .mso file contains the data needed to open the original attached document. I don't know of any other way to open the attachment but maybe there is another.

Here is Microsoft's vague description: You see a file with the extension of .wmz when you receive a message with Oledata.mso attachment
The More Information section is what pertains to your problem.

You need a converter to open office 2007 documents. It's free from Microsoft.
