Default BSOD on Shutdown

So the other day i noticed that my pc was rebooting when i shut it down, but as i didnt have the screen on i didn't notice that it's been blue screening.
So today i watched it, and just before turning off: Boom. Fail. Restart.

I have a window that opened on restart with some stuff in it, dunno if this helps but:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 1000007e
BCP1: C0000005
BCP2: 8C8E79B5
BCP3: 805D0B68
BCP4: 805D0864
OS Version: 6_0_6001
Service Pack: 1_0
Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini032509-03.dmp
C:\Windows\Temp\WER-39921-0.sysdata.xml
C:\Windows\Temp\WEREC15.tmp.version.txt

I don't think i've done anything abnormal recently, and my pc is working normally the rest of the time.....

Help very much appreciated

Cheers

Edit: after closing down the bsod stayed around a bit longer and I think mentioned bios... How do I go about updating that?

Currently on my iPod so can't say much more than what I already have

Sounds to me like its this one:
Bug Check 0x7E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

With exception 0xC0000005 > Memory Access violation.

run Memtest86+ for at least 4 hours (overnight recommended).

I'll do that tomorrow, overnight isn't an option unfortunately as I can't sleep with it on
