Default Boot Help

i don't know anything about dos other then typing tree in the command prompt in windows (lol) I want to make a floppy disk that will allow me to boot off any drive (like cd-rom, a secondary hard drive, usb jump drive) before the computer loads windows. Ideally, the floppy will make a menu that says "boot master cd boot slave cd boot master hard drive boot secondary hard drive ect. " or something along those lines. I don,t want anything fancy, i just want a floppy that does the necessary things to allow me to choose the device i boot off of.

I know about boot order in the bios, and i looking for another option besides changing boot order. I want this b/c i don,t want to figure out the correct buttons to press while booting to get to the bios. Also, i have ran into a few comps that don,t allow changing the boot order in the bios...

Default Re: Boot Help

Shouldn't have to change the boot order in the BIOS. Every computer should have a boot menu (usually F12) that you can press, and then you can select which device.
