| Re: blue screen- win32k.sys Well my first question is why is this located in Hardware. It is clearly a Windows issue...
My next question is what version of Windows? XP, Vista, 2000? Cant really help if the solutions we find are for XP and you have Vista.... "Stop 0x0000008E" error message in Win32k.sys when you use the keyboard to access a program menu in Windows XP
This seems to be a driver error. Since you dont have Safe Mode you will have to try last known good configuration or a restore point.

| Re: blue screen- win32k.sys Search Results
There is a whole list of them from Microsoft. the Microsoft Search engine is great for these things.
As for the placement. I moved it. Just try to remember to post in the right area. Thank you (in my most Care Bare like voice)
Since LKGF didnt work do you have a restore point? If not a Repair install might be yoru only hope without being able to fix the driver issue.

| Re: blue screen- win32k.sys The only way i know would be thru Safe Mode. But you already said that doesnt work. So your hope will have to be a Restore point. Take it back a few days and see if you can install those updates.

| Re: blue screen- win32k.sys sounds good... but how exactly would i revert to the restore point?
i know how to do it when XP is working...
not so much when i cannot get past the blue screen
i was thinking changing to boot sequence to have it load something off my flash drive or something
also i cannot open the cd tray
do you suggest that i disconnect it manually then?
since its not doing anything |

| Re: blue screen- win32k.sys System Restore Using XP Cd and Recovery Console config/sytem /software missing
Try the steps listed there. It is about ½ way down the page where it describes how to restore via the XP CD. That should work.

| Re: blue screen- win32k.sys Do you have a system with the same version of XP as on teh machine that is crashed? IF so do this: How to install xp without the xp cd.
If not you will have to find a matching version of your OS to a XP on a torrent or someplace. Possibly borrow the media from a friend.
Bootdisk.com is only for PC that have trouble working from a CD.
