I was playing bf2 and the game froze after 10 mins, blacked out screen then I got the blue screen. When I restarted I got this message...

did you write down the stop error on the blue screen?

Didn't write down the stop error and not overclocking.

I'll start playing again to see if it will happen.

Moved to Windows. BSOD's are not a hardware issue. they are Windows related and should be there.

They can technically be both, even though they're Windows-generated, they can be related to hardware .

Yes. But since they are generated in Windows they should be placed here for support. If they do lead to hardware they can be moved at that point.

Just an update on this... been having the same problem all year, over the weekend I bought a new hdd for more storage, fresh installation of windows and updated drivers and the problem still persists crashing to desktop randomly in game... last night I had another blue screen and on reboot had this message:
