Default Black Startup Screen in XP

I built a new system and installed XP SP2, but after my bios and before the windows xp screen comes up, I get a black screen with white letters that says:
Please select the Operating System
Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Microsoft Windows
Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight your choice
Seconds until startup 30..29..28

I get this everytime I startup. How can I get rid of this screen so I go straight from the bios to the XP startup screen, which is what I get on my other system?

find the boot.ini file on the cd drive.
open it in notepad.
if both lines are pointing to the same install, ie same drive partition etc, then just delete one of them.

reboot and it should boot normally now

Agreed, but one added step. Boot.ini is typically in the root of your C drive or whatever your primary drive letter may be. Copy the boot.ini file to another directory and write down where you put the copy before you edit it. If for some reason you make an error you can replace it in the recovery console. Be sure and save the boot.ini after deleting the line.
