SelenityHyperion is on a distinguished road

Default BIOS HD Test

I need to perform a HD test on an eMachines T5224 but cannot remember what to press at startup to access the BIOS. The system is running Vista and has recently 'died', showing naught but 'Microsoft Corporation' grayed out whenever I attempt to launch a windows repair from either the HD or the Disk. I believe it is F8 or F12...but I cannot remember...please assist me?

According to some sites it is either Del or F2.
