try a download manager like DAP, which you can pause downloads with, and it's faster

Slackware all the way!

I use it to connect to good 'ol AOL (dial-up) haha...play games with WINE, and run all sorts of applications...

Words wonders for programming, but sucks when I go to school and have to reformat it for Windbloze

Then again, for the stuff I am too lazy to get working on it, I still use XP as the second OS...but I LOVE the speed of linux...so nice, and it has not crashed *once* in 1 1/2 years

SuSE Linux was the eziest and fastest I could download and find. MAndrake kept failing on one disc and Red Hat just had way to many packages I never used. I pretty much would stick with SuSE linux foreva!!!
