Smile Anti Virus for a Dial-Up Connection

Hey guys,
I have a customer that brought me a 1999 Gateway... GRRRR.... I put windows 2000 on it and AVG as a Virus Protection. She brought it home and pluged it in to her phone line and AVG was going to take 2 hrs to update... (I don't know what she was expecting...) but is there something else out there that is designed for the people that still use Dial-up? Any help with this would be great...

Derek

Happy 4th!!!

There is nothing. All Anti-Virus applicaiton will be like this. The Virus Definations can be large and will take time to download on dial-up. Best bet have her run the PC overnight to update. Just hope the Dial-up connection wont boot her off.

Only other solution is to just have someone she knows download the definations and put them on a USB key for her to isntall. Other than that there is no alternative from what i know.
