Question Adobe PDF Vista x64

So I finally found out how to install Adobe Acrobat with the Adobe PDF printer on my newly reformatted Vista x64 machine, and it installed fine, but when I try to actually print it does nothing. It doesn't ask me where to save the file or anything. Any ideas on what's going on? Thanks in advance for any help.

Check your Printer settings are and make sure your Printer is the default. I am guessing that right now the Adobe PDF Printer is the default.

Hello,

If you can't get the Adobe Printer to work, you could always use a free alternative. You can find two good alternatives listed in the following thread:

what program do i use to make a pdf?

I just ran into the same issue, and rather than install more stuff on this new machine, I dug around for Adobe's kb article, which I found here: Support policy for Acrobat 7 and 8 on Windows Vista

Apparently MS is at fault, so they have the hotfix here: The private data of the DEVMODE data structure may be corrupted when you use raw mode to print a document in a 32-bit application on a computer that is running a 64-bit version of Windows

Then all should work well.
