does anyone know where I could get windows 98 or 2000?

Actually, Windows 2000 PRO costs $250 for one license over in Victoria.

Windows 98 is so old, it should be $20..

I've seen some distro's off Newegg, but they cost $10? How is that free?

Because you're paying for either a special distro, or a CD that was burned for someone that you can buy, and the proceeds (normally) go back to help the devel team.

It's like free beer---if you have your own mug (internet connection, CDs, etc.), you can get the free beer (Linux), but if you have to buy a mug (computer, CD, whatever) and then get the beer, it's not free anymore.

You can buy it "like" Windows at Newegg or a retail store (maybe).

What usually happens is you pay $50, but get it back in MIR.
