i'm trying to use remote assistance on XP machines and i keep getting this error:
userinit.exe - Application Error"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application."

so far, i've only found solutions which direct me to check the Bypass traverse checking in group policy... and this doesn't solve the problem...

Why are you trying to use remote assistance, my company uses real vnc, because its free and you can take control of a system without inivitations(and yes i know you can solicit requests), but as for the error, i googled the same thing and it says you dont have permissions to bypass treverse checking. Sorry i couldnt really help, but i definatelly would use real vnc, because its a free download, and i just like it more. Sorry
