| bought a laptop and it's preloaded with so much junk. is there any way to get rid of it besides going through and deleting everything?? I want to reformat....but I'm worried that the disc that came with it will just create a new partition with all of the preloaded junk again. I dunno, I'm just lazy. Any suggestions would be fantastic thanks :] |

| I always image the hard drive of a new laptop before allowing it to boot the first time. First I delete the partitions and then repartition the drive the way I like. I then proceed to install Windows. I keep the latest drivers handy on an external drive. I never knew what junk came with my two Dells. I got a call from Dell one day. They wanted to know why I didn't activate my free 6 months of AOL. I replied "What AOL? There's no AOL on my computer." My recovery cds only contain the OEM version of XP or Vista. The junk is on a different disc. Last edited by KurrentEweser; 07-05-2008 at 04:52 PM. |
