Okay for some reason I'm just dumb struck out of luck. My hard drive went out weeks ago on my Laptop. I bought a SATA drive only to find my laptop wanted IDE. Well I guess it doesn't want IDE. It says Serial ATA. Here's the exact drive I have.
Fujitsu 120GB (MHW2120BH) 5400rpm 2.5" Serial ATA (SATA) 8MB Notebook Hard Drive (OEM, Factory Sealed) (Discontinued)

Here's a screen shot.
http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/3...4080001du3.jpg

Every laptop hard drive I find is either Sata or IDE. I can't find anything like this. lol... I know this is probably simple and stupid but I've wasted too much time and money on stupid mistakes. I wanted a 250GB hard drive this time. If 7200RPM is possible that too, but 5400RPM if not. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm sadly getting really desperate for some help. I don't know what the **** is up with this odd out hard drive.

I actually bought this drive already. This is regular sata which is not what my laptop is. My Laptop currently has a SATA 1.5GB hard drive in it. However the connectors don't appear to be any Sata or IDE.... That's what my example is for. If anyone has any clue what type of hard drive I should buy let me know. Thanks.

Hmm that's what I thought but it's not. It's like a combination of the two. Hah

Nope it doesn't fit. The SATA cable is a bunch of little metal slabs that touch more slabs. The IDE is obviously prongs that stick into the laptop. Well in my case the laptop has the prongs and the hard drive has littles slots they slide into... It makes no sense. The Hard Drive I have is listed above. You can even check google images and find some pictures of it. I listed a screen shot of mine too.

First off thanks for the help guys I appreciate it. I took some more pictures to give you some better details. You see on a normal SATA hard drive if you look at the power and the data port it has a lip on it. The red circle on your image Fat.Clown circles the two lips. Well mine isn't like that. These pictures are huge.

There is no jumper drive spot. It's just an empty little box where the prongs would be for a jumper. So as you can see from these pictures it's not Sata or IDE. Or at least I'm confused... The drive itself says Serial ATA. The picture on the drive shows SATA. But in this case it's not... So if you have any idea let me know.
