| My laptop gets HOT! I just bought a new gateway laptop and it gets warm( warm enough that I don't like to hold it) when I am using it. I'm not doing anything spectacular with my laptop just some surfing and word processing, e-mail etc.. still it gets hot though, is there a remedy for this ? |

| yes they do get hot, especially desktop replacements and amd processors are worse about that. You'll find out it gets so hot the paint on the laptop actually melts in select areas. What causes this the most is the battery, by plugging it in the ac it wont get hot like that just when its running on battery. That is pretty normal. my gateway mx7525 gets so hot, the paint on the processor and battery have melted off, leaving the metal to show. |

| The laptop coolings pads work pretty well. I've got this one and it cools mine quite nicely. Newegg.com - Antec Black Notebook Cooler w/ Two Ball-bearing Fans Model NOTEBOOKCOOLER - Retail
