Glossy LCD Screen gives glare

This is so annoying. I thought the Glossy TFT screens were supposed to be an improvement from the previous LCDs that had this thin sheet of paper as a screen. However, this new glossy screen gives such a strong reflection when the sun or a light source hits it. Does anybody have a solution?

Yeah, don't have the sun or a lamp directly behind you when using it. I got used to the glossy screen very quickly, too, btw. I'm sure you can get one of those laptop privacy screens at Officemax or some such store if it bugs you enough. That should reduce the glare.

Just forget using your laptop outside or near a window.

The glossy screens on laptops annoy me so much.
