Question DVD/CDRW drive reads but doesn't burn?
Assuming that it's a hardware failure, is it possible that the drive reads but doesn't burn?

doesnt burn what.. cd's or dvd's... maybe u made the mistake i did and got just a cd burner and dvd player

Nos has a very good point. It could be a combo unit that is a CD Burner not a DVD Burner. But it can read DVD's. Some older laptops are this way.

It's a CRX810E. It's supposed to burn CDR/RW and read DVDs but now it doesn't burn anymore.
