Hi Peeps new to this website and i'm having a problem getting rid of pop ups I've never had this problem till my brother in law touched my laptop one of the pop ups says internet speed monitor and other various ones tried everything adaware, avg, reg cleaner etc. help if you can. thanks all
are you talking about messenger service? go to Start, Run: type services.msc then go to Messenger Service (right click, hit properties, change startup type to disabled and hit stop, then hit ok and close it) don't confuse this with Windows Messenger (MSN Messenger or any IM service)

Basically you have some spyware that needs be removing, follow the steps in the post as a start, if it doesn't take care of it, do a follow up post in that section of the forums.
