Default Best new laptop for 700 and under?

I need a laptop. Using it for school/word processing/some online games(wow ect).

I have been looking at used ones and might go with one seeing as I can get a 700-900 dollar one for around 500...but id rather buy new if I can.

anyways, what can I get for around 700 that will handle this stuff? Id like to have 80gig+ w/ 1g ram+, dual core if I can get it but understand that for the price it might not happen.
thanks
-nick

For $700 you're not gonna get much, maybe the base model Inspiron 1521 that has integrated GeForce graphics, or maybe the base model HP dv6500.
Otherwise buy a used one, you're much more likely to get what you want in your price range.

****... laptop eh?a desktop at that price will handle your needs but hmm not for a laptop... unless it's second hand or it's on a huge sale.
