i have a wired router and have some stuff hooked up to it all on the first floor of my house. I want to get internet to an upstairs computer but cant get a cord up there. I know that one solution is a wireless router. Is there some kind of device used to hook one computer wirelessly from a wired router. Not a wireless router, just for one computer. I once saw these two little box things you point at each other and they send wireless internet. Is there something good kind of like that?

Yeah it's called a wireless ascess point, go to newegg.com and look up some of them

They are usually more expensive than a cheap wireless router, but are better. If your like me and have an 800$ router (or even an 80$ one) buying a wireless ascess point is very efficent on your pocket

Just buy a wirless router on newegg. you can get them for like $40
