Default usb port problem

one of my front usb ports has trouble detecting devices plugged into it. at first it will connect then the windows connect and disconnect sounds play about 3 times then the device doesnt show up. All my other usb ports work.

Check the connection on the motherboard for that specific port. Plug in and plug out the drive multiple times while the computer is off to clean contacts.

I don't know which plug on the mobo it is theres just a whole bunch that plug in and lead up under this metal piece in the case

look for the big thick cable...that has a double connector, and goes to a header labeled USB

If you can't locate the cable or if you don't have the patience to find it, then deal with you problem.

sort of it still does malfunction a little bit but the connection was loose, also I think the cable is damaged but don't know how to fix it
