most good thermal paste will conduct electricity along with heat. so you just have be careful of the overflow. I would still replace it with the right stuff but its prolly safe to use what you got until the other stuff comes in.

Uh no, most good thermal pastes do not conduct electricity.

MX-2 and TX-2, arguably the top two pastes, do not conduct..

Artic Silver. This stuff is good itself.

Uh, I don't understand what you are trying to say, in tests, MX and TX have both been shown to conduct better than AS5.

Therefore they provide lower temperatures at a lower price.

I did not know that. I have never heard of MX ot TX till you suggested them. I have only used Artic Silver and never minded paying the extra. Now i know for furutre use.

it will not explode. Attic silver is what I use just because of the large stash of it that I have. It is good and conductive. As long as none of it is on your Mobo you're fine.
