Default swapping motherboard

Would there be any major problems if i wanted to swap an old 1 ghz Pentium III M to a newer mb and processor with out having to reinstall on the hard drive.

Windows most likely wouldnt load for you, that's about it

You will need to reinstall Windows... Mr. Gates hates it when you don't buy a new copy of his OS whenever you change hardware.
Also, plan on reactivating Windows again.
Yes, MS are nazis.

If you're upgrading MB, it might not be a bad idea to think about upgrading your PSU, just something to think about, but not necessary.

Try swapping out mobo's with linux, also not likely to work.
