Default Sound deadening/proofing

Just wondering has anyone ever tried sound proofing their case to reduce noise from fans and such for quieter operation.

I noticed that AKASA does a product called PAX.mate for cases which looks fairly easy to install.

Has anyone got any info on this and if it works or not?

Yes they work well, Your system, i applied right, will sound noticeably quiter. However your system temperature will increase by around 1-2 Degrees C.

One pack is ment to fit a Midi-ATX case, not a full Tower case, But it still works very well if you just leave some off at the top of the case.

More info can be found here. XtReMoDs - Extreme Alterations Akasa Pax.Mate Acoustic Absorption Mats Review

Thanks

Thanks the review was very useful. Think i might get two kits to fill my full tower and hope it works well although i have a side window so noise will not be reduced fully.

just get some extremely think plexi and apoxy it to the case with the padding stuff all around it.

im talking about like 3/4 in think plexi, and just drill new screw holes and get some 1in long bolts that are like 1/8in in diameter, and double-nut it to the panel.
