I have 1GB of RAM in 2 512MB sticks. I'm considering getting antoher gig, but i don't know if i want to just get another 1GB stick so i'll have 2GB through 2x 512 and 1x 1GB, or drop the 200-someodd dollars for a 2GB dual channel kit. is it really worth it to have dual channel RAM over single channel? will i experince less hitching if i have dual channel RAM?

Just get another 2x512 kit, you can still run all four sticks in dual channel.

as beardo526 said get 2 more 512 sticks it`ll run in dual channel I have 4 sticks of 512 works fine. And you will get more performance in dual thank over single.

Dual channel has a noticable performance boost over single channel. Go with what the other saids and get two more 512mb sticks.

My motherboard only has 3 DIMM slots, and i just remembered that my CPU doesn't support Dual-Channel RAM because its socket 754. :mad:
