To All:

A friend of mine and I have decided that we would like to start our own shard for the online game Ultima Online. I have to confess to complete ignorance in my understanding of the hardware (and software for that matter) requirements of such an undertaking.

If anyone who is famaliar with running these types of gaming communities or networks could give me some information regarding this topic I'd be most appreciative.

Even a point in the right direction would be helpful. (i.e. another forum, etc.)
