My computers have been the following

1984 - Apple IIe
1984 to 1991 - Apple II+
1989 to 1994 - Apple Macintosh SE30
1994 to 1996 - Apple Macintosh IIci
All of the above where more or less my father computers which I used heavily.

1996 to 1997 - Intel Pentium 100Mhz, 16Mb Ram, 800Mb Hard Drive, CDRom, Win 95
This was when i jumped ship to PC. My father was accusing me of going through ink tanks on his printer. And at the time, we borrowed a computer from where I was working.

1997 to 1999 - AMD K6ii 233, 16Mb Voodoo Card, 10Gb Hard Drive, CDRom, CD Burner, Win95/98
This was my first computer which was 100% mine. CPU and Motherboard where a birthday present. Every thing else I paid for.

1998 - NEC Versa Notebook, 486 75Mhz, 16Mb Ram, 11" TFT Display, 1.2Gb Hard Drive, Win 95
1999 - Toshiba Satilite Pro Notebook, Pentium 160Mhz, 3Gb Hard Drive, 12" Display, CD Rom, Win 98

It's starts getting messsy from this point onwards as my computer evolved via various upgrades. Bigger hard drive here, New Video Card there. Like from this point onwards, I would update the video card on year, then update the CPU and Motherboard the next year. Because of this pattern that i started, it was one of the reasons why I held on to AGP until earlier this year.

1999 to 2002 - AMD Athlon 900Mhz, 128Mb Ram, RivaTNT M64, 30Gb Hard Drive, DVD Rom, CD Burner, Win 20000
2002 to 2003 - AMD Athlon 1700, 512MB Ram, GeForce 5700, 120Gb Hard Drive, DVD-RW, Windows XP
2003 to 2005 - AMD Duron 1300, 512Mb Ram GeForce 4 64Mb, WinXp
2004 to 2007 - AMD Athlon 2600, 2Gb Ram, GeForce 6600GT, WinXp
2005 to 2007 - AMD Athlon 1300, 512Mb Ram, Geforce 5200, WinMCE
2007 - Optiron 175, 3Gb Ram, GeForce 7800 (later ATI HD3860), Win Xp
2007 to Now - Optiron 145, 2Gb Ram, GeForce 8400, Win MCE

2007 would of been my year for moving towards PCI-Express. However that year I was the getting a lot of hand me downs from people. And at the time, these hand me downs where more powerful than what i was currently running at the time.

2008 - Toshiba Satilite Pro A100, Centrino 1.7, 3Gb Ram, 320Gb hard Drive, DVDRW, Windows XP/Vista/MCE
2008 to Now - Current MSI GX620 Notebook - Intel Centrino 2 Core2Duo 2.4, 4Gb DDRII FSB 800Mhz, 320Gb SATA Hard Drive, DVD-RW, 15.4 Inch WSXGA (1680x1050) Display, GeForce 9600M-GT 512MB Video, Vista Home Premium SP1

I don't have a picture of it, but until about a week ago my family were still using our old PC:

P4 1.8Ghz
Nvidia Geforce 2 32mb
Either 256 or 512mb RAM, I can't remember.
20GB HDD

By the end it had become so crippled that it was impossible to do two simple tasks, ie Browsing the internet and listening to music at the same time!

Getting HL2 to run on it still makes me proud.

I'm pretty sure that's got a lot to do with software. And that's pretty easily changed.
Though adding some RAM would have helped significantly.
