Default Pentagon Bans Flash Drives

Pentagon Bans Flash Drives

According to this MSNBC news item, the Pentagon has decided to ban flash drives. Wait, what?!? You mean to tell me that up until now, the Pentagon has allowed flash drives? Yikes.
While defense officials would not publicly confirm the ban, messages were sent to department employees informing them of the new restrictions. As part of the ban, the Pentagon was collecting any of the small flash drives that were purchased or provided by the department to workers, according to one message distributed to employees.

Those have been out for too long I think theres a pattern it take them 1-2 years to realise what it could be used for and sign the necessary paperwork to then put a bill through congress then several months of umm and ahhing. Blu-ray and hd-dvd is the way to go for any potential moles that trawl this site

Now you got the idea. Granted they always seem to be behind on just about anything. But they finally realized a need to step up security when they woke up and someone said: "hey someone could be .. with those!"
