So the laptop feels really hot? What brand? Model #?
I recently sold a compaq evo n620 due to excessive heat coming from the laptop. It never failed in anyway but the heat bugged me. I bought it on ebay for $275 and I upgraded the ram 256mb more and hd 60g. I sold it for $400. So I made a small profit.

Good luck

if i kepp the laptop off the desk, like in the air(on top on my games cases) it doesnt
so i guess the air flow is being blocked.

I use some standoffs to lift my computer off my desk. The added airflow helps cool it down a lot. Or you can put some fans under it.
