Default which one is betteer for HD????

hi guys...
I'm thinking to buy a new HD cuz I'm running out of space..
I'm thinking to buy between maxtor or westerndigital.
Which is better? I chose them cuz I heard maxtor is good, however, WD is cheaper.
Please give some advices which should i buy.
I welcome any sugestion.

I would go Seagate, they are inexpensive, very good quality, and I mean very good quality, and are the quietest 7200RPM drives ever

80/120/160 gig should be enough, how much do you think you'll use?
do you have broadband? broadband really does affect your drive space - I know from experience

yeah I have broadband.
I need a new HD for all my movie and music stuff.
oo.. I need to know one thing though...
are they quite???
I dont like the noise is too loud.
so which one is produced less noise?? maxtor or Western Digital?

maxtor are rubbish ive had nothin but problems get a seagate or at a push a western digital, get SATA if u r mobo supports it.

if you want something relaible get seagate IDE disk. maxtor IDE are noisier than WD IDE, but i still choose maxtor because they are much faster than both WD or seagate IDE disks
