ok i was suppose to reformat and finnaly have the time to do it.

i dont wanna screw anything up so tell me if im missing any drivers

right now i got a list of drivers im gonna install

-video drivers

-sound drivers(sound blaster live!)

-stuff on mobo cd
(nvidia chipsets)
(ATA133 RAID)
(usb 2.0)
[Audio (AC97)]
(Network)
(Serial ATA)

-printer drivers

-moniter drivers

-card reader drivers (i have a camera card reader)

Do i need to install ac97 drivers ?

Are there dvd rom drive drivers?

direct x 9c wont be included with the video drivers or the windows update?

If he gets SP2 it will be, and if your getting a sound card disable the onboard sound in BIOS before installing anything..... And you dont have to worry about them drivers unless your using the onboard audio like me.

It will be on windows update..

the nvidia drivers include ac97 drivers.. make sure you get the newest unified driver package from www.nvidia.com. Once you install the newest drivers, go into the bios and disable the device..

can i jus use the cd of drivers? less counfusing for me
