| Does it matter what your refresh rate is set to when you use an lcd monitor?

| Yes, it does. LCDs do not have to be set to high refresh rates like a CRT monitor. If you set an LCD to a high refresh rate, you actually degrade the omage quality. Set your monitor's refresh rate at 60 and you're good. That's the setting recommended by LCD manufacturers.

| Hopefully you noticed a difference in appearance. Be sure you use ClearType to get the best appearance out of your LCD. http://www.microsoft.com/typography/...ner/Step1.aspx

| Oh well. When I bought mine, I had it set to 85. When I lower it, it really looked great.

| Monster Techie | I have never seen an improved image quality from 75 to 60, just lowers you fps cap. Although it does apply to anything higher then that IMO. I've seen a LCD running 800 * 600 at 100 and it looked slightly better at 75. I would stick with 75 as for me that is the perfect LCD refresh rate.
