internet explorer 6

hi
I have a small problem in internet explorer 6.When my mouse reaches a link and turns from an arrow to a hand it used to conveniently shpw me below at the bottom of the screen where the link led.It matters a little to me to have lost this facility as I do a bit of work on my site from time to time.I assume that it must have been turned off by mistake or got mangled in a Windows Update perhaps.
I have gone through the advanced section of Tools/Internet Options a few times but can't find anything there.Can anyone suggest what else I could do?

Start>run>sfc /scannow (u will lose any updates)
or www.opera.com

Probolly spyware or the many problems of Internet Explorer

I recomend downloading FIREFOX or getting opreah
