i say just buy a new one if you want one, whats 50 bucks when yours spending almost 500

good point, weigh up the risk of buying secondhand to the cost of a new one where you are guarenteed it works or you can get a replacement. With Ebay its harder to track down warrenty if there is one at all. All im saying is, know the risks and also know if its worth the gamble of this card being a dud.

either one of those are good, i have the ati radeon 9800 Pro 128mb, i play hl2 and cs:source and i get like 150fps so its not bad

anti-ailising, anisotrophic filtering. They are settings which make the game look better but slow it down.

ahhh, thats the main difference

my screen is native 1680x1050, which means that my card has to render almost 1,000,000 more pixels (1,746,000 vs 786,432)

i dunno what it looks like at lesser resolutions, though

oh, my AA/AF is on either low or normal

why make the screen resolution so big???
everything must look compactly small

if you use anywhere from 17" to 19" use 1024 x 768 res.

i use 1024 x 768 on a 15 in monitor, i can go all the way up to 1280x1024
